Making a new Web Page!
Open Front Page and choose NEW - PAGE (do NOT choose new web or you will be tied to Front Page's THEMES - yuk)
When you choose NEW PAGE, you have the following screen:

DO NOT USE THE GENERAL PAGE YOU SEE HERE!!! GO TO THE NEXT TAB (at the top...there are three tabs...General...Frames Pages and Style Sheets) THAT SAYS FRAMES.

I like the first choice that says banner and frames - note the example/preview on the bottom right. Choose OK

ONLY CLICK NEW PAGE ON ALL THREE WINDOWS (FRONT PAGE SEES THESE "WINDOWS" AS SEPARATE PAGES. I save the WHOLE frame as a specific name such as index (the server always looks for "index" to broadcast/display as the main start page - all other pages are usually webbed to this page)
I usually save the "top frame - or page" as xbanner, the left frame as "xbutton and the right frame as "xcontent" (x stands for anything you want such as "main" or Grand kids, index etc).
Now, save the page(s) Note the following screenshots in the order of saving them

This is what it looks like after choosing "New Page" in all 3 windows or panes.
NOW, I clicked in the small horizontal window at the top (remember, to Front Page, it is a WHOLE page!)
and I go to FORMAT....then down to BACKGROUND.

I want to make the background BLUE so I choose background color and pick blue.

NOTE! at the top, of this page properties box, there is a little box that says FORMATTING above it and background picture to the right. IF you click this box, you can search your hard drive for ANY picture type to use as the background instead of a solid color. You can get backgrounds by visiting any webpage you like and right clicking on the background...then choose "save image." The image is actually a background if you want.
You can put backgrounds on each frame as directed on the background page.
